Like most entrepreneurs, I started a business with confidence that my previous business experiences would provide a good base from which to begin something new, and confident that I could quickly obtain any new skills necessary. Optimism is great!

However, like a circus act, I soon found myself balancing many"spinning plates"up high on thin poles. My business growth required more and more plates, and learning new skills quickly became a top priority as I was running from one edge of the stage to the other, keeping new plates spinning along with the old. After a few years, I realized I was focused on one thing, keeping plates from falling.

My coaching calls with Donna Marie have helped me step away from the"plates" long enough to begin managing the circus of attorneys, accountants, engineers and other business managers. No disrespect intended, but there have been a few clowns.

I eventually, with Donna Marie's help, recognize my circus and my life as two separate things. She helps me remember what is important to me, and how to structure my personal and business life with balance toward achieving my goals. Her common sense and encouragement are incredibly valuable to me, and I expect it has been to others and will be to you.

Today, I do not "spin plates" as a single act. I manage the complete circus. If someone claims that my life is like a three ring circus, I laugh, but take it as a compliment, and give Donna Marie the credit.
